Perguntas frequentes

How do bank scams typically work?

Bank scammers use phishing emails/texts pretending to be your bank, fake phone calls about "suspicious activity," spoofed websites that mimic real banking sites, and malware that captures login credentials. Their goal is to access your accounts directly or trick you into transferring money.

Will my bank ever ask for my password?

No. Legitimate banks never ask for your full password, PIN, or security codes via email, phone, or text. If someone claiming to be from your bank asks for this information, it's a scam. Hang up and call your bank directly using the number on your card.

What should I do if I sent money to a scammer?

Contact your bank immediately - some transfers can be reversed if reported quickly. File a police report, report to the FTC, and document all communications. For wire transfers, contact the receiving bank as well. Time is critical.
